Emma, CSR, is a Client Service Representative at Gateway Veterinary Hospital. She graduated from Wilfrid Laurier University with an Honours Science degree in 2025 and is currently completing prerequisites for veterinary school through a non-degree program at the university.
Emma has always had a passion for animals, large and small. From a young age, she wanted to work in the veterinary field or with animals – her family would joke that every farm they passed would be her future home surrounded by lots of animals. She hopes to gain more experience and expand her career, ultimately becoming a veterinarian.
She is particularly interested in small animal medicine and internal medicine, rehabilitation, and large animal medicine. Emma loves being able to be the voice for those who can’t speak, the problem-solving aspect of veterinary medicine, and building connections with owners.
What Emma loves about her job and the clinic is the encouragement to always learn and improve, especially in a world that is constantly changing, surrounded by individuals who support that growth.
In her spare time, Emma has a passion for hiking and being outdoors, participating in fundraiser runs, and enjoying musical bingo.
At home, she shares her life with Toby, an 11-year-old Border Collie who is energetic, extremely loving to his family, and knows he is cute and uses it to his advantage.
Emma is an aspiring veterinarian planning to further her education and looks forward to meeting you and your pets!
